FAQ's

Q. How long will it take me to learn the sax?

A. You can think of playing the sax as learning a new language. You can pick up a great deal in just one day, and spend the rest of your life working on the subtle nuances. If you spend 5 minutes a week playing, then it will take longer than if you spend 3 hours a day, so how long it takes is up to you!

Q. I don’t have a sax at the moment and I have noticed that they are expensive. Can I still come on your courses?

A. Absolutely! We can arrange for you to use one of our high quality practice saxophones for a very small cover charge.

Q. I want to buy a sax but I’m not sure of which one to get because there is so much choice out there. Can you help?

A. Yes we can! Just ask Lynden or Matt and we will be happy to give your our best advice, for free!

Q. Do you teach the grade system?

A. Yes we can do that, and we do grades on a one to one basis. See our private lessons page

Q. Are you qualified teachers?

A. Neither of us have any teaching qualifications! What we do have is hundreds of thousands of hours of gigging experience and thousands of hours of teaching experience.

Q. Can you guarantee that I will get gigs at the end of your courses?

A. The only guarantees in life are death and taxes!
